Thank you for getting involved in our Summer displaced people and refugee appeal. All the people and families you will be helping are currently being hosted in hotels and temporary accommodation and are being supported by charities working in east and north London. Some may also be rough sleeping. They are all somewhere in the system while their applications for status determination are being processed - which can take up to two years. They come from many different parts of the world, including but not exclusively Ukraine and Afghanistan, but they all have arrived with very few or no belongings.
