Help Effie Achieve Her Dream of Independence

Meet Effie – a bright, loving, happy, and resilient little girl with a huge heart and an unshakable determination. Effie is constantly striving for independence, learning, and pushing herself every day to achieve her goals.

Effie has been diagnosed with Triplegic Cerebral Palsy, which affects her lower limbs and upper left limb, limiting her mobility. As a result, Effie relies on various equipment and her amazing mum to help her get around and enjoy all the activities any other 5-year-old would. Despite her challenges, Effie continues to make remarkable progress in all areas of her development through daily physio and a variety of other therapies.

The Innowalk – A Game-Changing Opportunity

We have created this fundraising page with the goal of purchasing an INNOWALK, a revolutionary piece of equipment that looks like a motorized cross-trainer. The Innowalk would allow Effie to exercise daily, feel the motion of walking, and build strength in her muscles, ultimately helping her on her journey toward independence.

Effie has already had the opportunity to try the Innowalk at home twice on loan, and in just two weeks, she was able to walk over 28 miles! The progress she made in terms of strength and hyperextension in her knees was truly remarkable. The freedom and excitement it gave her to ‘walk’ each day were priceless.

Having her own Innowalk at home would allow Effie to continue this progress and would grow with her into adulthood, helping her to maintain her independence and enjoy the health benefits of being upright and mobile.

The Challenge – The Cost of the Innowalk

The Innowalk is an incredible piece of equipment, but unfortunately, it comes with a hefty price tag of £33,000. This is where we need your help. We are asking for your support, whether that’s through donations, sharing our page, or getting involved in our fundraising efforts. Every bit helps us get one step closer to Effie’s dream.

7.5% of all donations to Tree of Hope in relation to this appeal will be allocated to the general charitable purposes of Tree of Hope to cover our core operating costs.

If we raise insufficient funds, or surplus funds, then the funds will be used, if appropriate, to fund support for our child’s needs in accordance with Tree of Hope’s charitable objects. If in those circumstances we are unable to use all or part of the funds for the benefit of our child in accordance with Tree of Hope’s charitable objectives, then any funds that cannot be used will be transferred to be used for the general charitable purposes of Tree of Hope.
