Story
Our Education Support Programme was launched in the summer of 2013. We know that by helping the orphans gain an education they will be equipped to break out of the cycle of poverty and realise a better future for themselves and their families.
Though public schools are funded by the government, deprived families often struggle to send their children to school due to not being able to afford stationery, uniforms and transport costs. As a result, the orphans do not attend school while some are forced to work in order to support their families and therefore drop out of school for this reason. At Noor Orphans Fund we are working to help the orphans continue with their education and ensure they are given a chance for a brighter future.
It only costs £20 to send a child back to school this September. By raising funds to pay for uniform, stationery, shoes and a backpack, we can ensure that the orphans have the chance that every child deserves, access to an education and better future prospects for themselves and their family. With your help we can make a difference .
Our 2018 back to school campaign supported 3,938 of our orphans and their siblings access essential education supplies. Throughout the year our Education Support Programme helps many of our orphans with transport costs and private tuition for those who need it and they are hence able to do very well in their exams. We also provide some of our students over the age of 16 with approximately £30 per month if they require support to continue into high school.
