Story
Holiday times are particularly difficult for women in prison. The unexpected gift of a bag of goodies from people who they do not know can really lift their spirits. These small acts of kindness remind the women that they are not forgotten and that there are people and communities ready to give them a warm welcome when they step back into the outside world.
The bags cost about £5 each and contain: Mini Easter eggs, biscuits, a mindful colouring activity, colouring pens, a lip salve, an Easter booklet, information about our Mentoring project MentorMe and a handwritten Easter card.
Please help us by donating towards the cost of the 400 bags and sharing a little joy and hope with the women in prison at Easter.
(Any donations received over and above the cost of the bags will go towards running costs and work of Sixty-One)
