A glamorous (and fun!) celebration of ballroom dancing, Take to the Floor is a Strictly-style event on Sunday 25 August that features a dance competition for couples who perform in front of a live audience, plus a panel of judges. Held in a specially dressed and lit Hydro ballroom, Take to the Floor also sees performances by professional and community dance groups and fabulous live music, and is one of the headline events at this year's Creative Peebles Festival (23 Aug to 1 Sept).

Last year, almost 200 people packed into the Hydro ballroom for what was a hugely entertaining evening. Do check out the event film here:

For 2019, we are fundraising for the theatre's outreach work, which includes a travelling creative programme for the older community living in residential accommodation, as well as Eastgate on the Road, which takes creative performances and opportunities to rural communities within Tweeddale. The money raised from this event will help us expand and develop this valuable outreach work over the long term.
