Dyslexia Reading Connection, Inc. is blessed to remain open during this pandemic and moved all services to the online learning environment. However, with families where one or both parents are laid-off, they are canceling tutoring services for their children to allocate money for more critical expenses. Won't you help these families continue to provide their children with the reading and math tutoring services needed so desperately? Don't let COVID-19 be a reason a child does not receive the research proven, dyslexia specific literacy training they need.

One of our students, Melissa, is in 5th grade. She has attended several different schools and was even homeschooled for a year because of bullying from classmates and lack of resources provided by her schools. She has been receiving tutoring services at DRC for nearly two years and is already showing gains in her reading level, but more importantly her confidence. Traditional reading methods do not work for children with dyslexia. Research-proven, evidence based Orton-Gillingham methods are the only methods taught at DRC because they work.

We strongly believe everyone deserves the ability to read, even if the way to do that requires the path less traveled. The path that we at DRC are well aware exists.
