Story
Our beautiful, brave, magical son, Dylan Nicholas Goulding Barette, was born on 18th November 2020 and spent 37 days on the neonatal unit at the children's hospital at Guy's & St. Thomas, Evelina London before he passed away.
We filled our days smothering our firstborn with all of our love and adoration; reading books, playing with his beloved animal toys and chatting to him constantly! Dylan's favourite pastimes were admiring his reflection in his baby book mirror, sporting his extensive sassy wardrobe, supporting Tottenham Hotspur and listening to his tunes. As his parents, we had a lot of comfort in knowing that when we couldn't be with him, he had all of his miracle workers at the hospital looking after him. Dylan was a very chilled baby, he never complained and loved being the centre of attention.
During Dylan's time in hospital, no-one was able to diagnose him. We understood that he had vulnerabilities and that we would have to wait and see how he would grow and develop. He was growing and hitting little milestones; we had an infinite amount of hope that Dylan would have the most phenomenal life with us! We are incredibly proud of our son and would do absolutely anything and everything to still have him with us today. Our warrior son now lives in our hearts and is spreading his magic all over the universe.
All the money we raise will help to support Evelina babies and their families, both today and in the future. Evelina London boasts one of the largest neonatal units in England and is a centre of excellence for neonatal research. Our lifelong fundraising efforts will help and support vulnerable babies as we try to help each and every one of Dylan's Pals.
THANK YOU from the bottom of our family's heart for your hugely kind and generous support!
Big love,
- Dylan, Anita and Nick XXXX
