Story
This is the second of our ongoing fundraisers that aim to raise £1100 every 6 months to open up the opportunity to 2 girls to train as nurses at The Duncan Hospital in Bihar, girls who otherwise, due to impoverished backgrounds, would never be able to consider a career in nursing.
Each student pays the equivalent of £3,300 to complete the 3-year nursing degree, this amount covers all tuition fees, uniform, board, and lodgings.
These fees are beyond the dreams of many but we can change this for 2 young girls. Staff at The Duncan have helped the DHCT select 2 young girls (seen in photo) for this year's training programme and with your help we can support these girls through their studies and allow them a pathway to a career that can help them, in turn, support their own families.
By donating you are giving a lifeline and a secure future to girls who otherwise at a young age are often married off and never given the opportunity to learn a skill of their own. With your support, we aim to lift more young girls out of poverty like this.
Thank you and please note that 100% of all donations to DHCT go straight to the Duncan Hospital.
