Story

Every year approximately 100,000 people will have a stroke in the UK and a quarter of these will happen to people of working age or younger and it is the single biggest cause of disability. Different Strokes is the only charity dedicated to younger stroke survivors to provide active peer support through information, advice and rehabilitation services.

Join our amazing team of runners who have been inspired by their own and other's journeys of stroke recovery.

The LLHM usually celebrates Londons grand iconic landmarks, its quirky and hidden history and gems. However, following the global Covid-19 pandemic, LLHM 2021 will be re-themed to celebrate the grand, quirky and hidden landmark moments of 2020, shining a light on how we are coming together as a nation during this unprecedented time. LLHM will be honouring the key workers, re-creating some of the fun moments of lockdown life, and remembering the kind actions of neighbours.
