Story

If you've been at Innerleithen Church over the last year you've probably entered by the side door instead of our main door.

We've had an issue with dry rot around the door frame which spread into the wall and floor of the adjoining hall. The repair work has almost been completed and we are very grateful to all the local trades who worked on this project.

However now we need to make sure we cover the costs of this work which was unplanned and so not in our budget. It has needed lots of joinery work, treatment of the walls, electrical work, plastering, painting, decorating and a new floor.

On Sunday 8th September we reopened the main door and shared a bit about this project. This coming Sunday, 15th September we are having a gift day to try and raise some of the money.

Please consider making a contribution if you value having the church building in our community. We are delighted that it is in use nearly every day of the week but we need to be able to maintain it for groups to use and enjoy.

On Sunday, cash or cheques can be put in an envelope and marked 'Gift Day'. We are also now able to take debit and credit card donations or of course you can donate through JustGiving.
