Story
For years, people have traveled from near and far to experience a true Scottish Hogmanay here in Dornoch. Our historic setting, featuring the 15th-century Dornoch Castle Hotel, the 1224-built Dornoch Cathedral, and the Carnegie Courthouse (1850), will be beautifully illuminated to create an unforgettable venue for the midnight celebrations.
Our event is packed with atmosphere, wonderful food, lively music, and, most importantly, incredible people! When the bells ring at midnight, we’ll all be singing Auld Lang Syne at the top of our voices!
Organising this special celebration is made possible through the hard work of our dedicated team of volunteers and the generous donations from supporters, both locally and beyond. Each year, costs continue to rise, and as a completely donation-funded event, we depend on the kindness of those who are able to contribute.
We understand that times are tough, and not everyone can donate – and that’s okay. We just hope you’ll join us for the Dornoch Hogmanay Street Party, donation or not. If you are in a position to give, every contribution helps us keep this wonderful tradition alive.
Thank you for helping us make Dornoch Hogmanay a night to remember!
