Story
‘At Live PAWS, we believe that all dogs deserve a safe and loving home. Our story began with a vision to create a shelter for homeless dogs and has grown thanks to the generosity of volunteers and supporters like you. Join us and be part of the change!’
‘(our official title is Refugio de Los Animales – K9) with the purpose of being an organization to protect, to the best of our ability, animals from cruelty, starvation and neglect, and to neuter and spay where possible to avoid overpopulation. At the moment there is no official government funding and we rely solely on you the public for donations and sponsorships.’
Story :
(K-9)
We are always happy to accept help! There are lots of good reasons for volunteering but perhaps the most persuasive is, quite simply, that voluntary work is rewarding.
If you´re looking for something ‘extra’ in your life, volunteering could be right for you.If you can spare anytime from one hour a fortnight to several hours a week, every little helps. We were formed in 1993 (our official title is Refugio de Los Animales – K9) by three lady residents in the South of Tenerife, who were moved by the plight of the poor and neglected abandoned animals on the island .We currently rent kennels in the Las Chafiras / San Miguel area in the South of Tenerife which are suitable for housing around 55 to 60 dogs comfortably, although most days we have upwards of 75 in our care! Any funds, support and appreciation can massively help the quality of life of the animals in our care, donate now or be a volunteer to see the change we greatly want to achieve.

At our rescue shelter, we are dedicated to finding loving forever homes for all the wonderful dogs in our care.Every time you support Live PAWS, you are directly contributing to the welfare of homeless dogs in Tenerife. By choosing us, you join a community dedicated to making a difference in the lives of these animals in need. Your financial support, in-kind donations, volunteering or even just spreading the word about our cause, can change lives and create a more hopeful future for these furry friends. We all love a change of scenery, and that includes our dogs too. They love to get out and go for a walk. Although they have a large play area, the dogs adore meeting new people, and taking their new human friends for walks outside.if walking the dogs is not something you're comfortable with but still want to vounlenteer Their kennels need to be cleaned every day, medicine given if required, food and clean water. If you want to discover the joy of caring for them, come and visit us at the shelter!
