India was in the midst of a deadly second wave of Covid-19 in April and May 2021. The daily infection count went all-time high. As compared to the previous wave, this time the virus seem to have spread. more rapidly and affecting younger age groups as well. There have been horrific stories about lack of oxygen supply resulting in the tragic loss of lives on a daily basis.
During these very testing times, IAHV in India worked with various local governments to help procure O2 concentrators (portable machines that generate purified O2 from ambient air). IAHV team established a robust distribution network to deliver Oxygen concentrators and other critical equipments to the hospitals as quickly as possible.
Phase 2: Covid India Relief
From 15th June onwards, the Donate for O2 campaign moved to Phase 2. The focus of Phase 2 is to raise funds to help drive Vaccinations throughout India. The funds will also be used to help setup new Allopathic hospitals and any other Covid related needs arising on the ground.
