The North Richmond Farm is so much more than an urban agriculture project. Our dream is to be a neighborhood anchor that seeds healing, connection, self-determination, and prosperity for our entire community by serving as the heart of resident-led organizing and opportunity in North Richmond.
2024 Construction Accomplishments
1. Poured footings for Phase 2 buildings and installed sewer, water, and storm drain systems to support future growth!
2. Began work on the History Walk and outdoor classrooms while planting new crop rows to keep farm operations thriving.
3. Hosted a Volunteer Build Days to create Light Straw Clay insulation for the Watershed Workshop and plaster the Watershed Workshop
4. Built new sidewalks with bio-retention planters on Brookside Drive
5. Installed irrigation systems and planted native species along the History Walk with help from enthusiastic volunteers and plants grown by the Watersheds Team.
6. Built new larger Greenhouse
7. Built new Native Plant Nursery

2025 Construction Goals
1. Complete Phase 2 farm buildings started in 2024
2. Install photovoltaic system on Phase 2 buildings
3. Install all ADA hardscape (Pathways and outdoor classroom areas)
4. Complete construction of the Community Resiliency Center building foundation
5. Start construction on Community Resiliency Center building
