One of our community partners, The Dojo in Salisbury, has for 15 years offered womens self-defense classes, with all proceeds going to the Center. As part of the training, Dojo instructors gear up in a Self-defense Suit, which gives students the chance to practice defensive training through realistic simulations, while protecting the instructor.
The Dojo's Self-defense Suit, purchased by owner's Kendall and Caroline Buhl in 2006, has worn out due to lots of use over the years and is on its last legs. We are looking to help raise funds for a new suit, in order for The Dojo to be able to continue its mission. The cost of the suit is $3,000.
Any donation you make will ultimately help local area women learn important self-defense techniques and at the same time, support survivors of domestic violence, with the continuation of these regular pay-it-forward donation self-defense classes held at The Dojo.
