Give the gift of sport this Christmas

We change lives through sport! Disabled children and young people are often left out of sport. Our community sports clubs are places where they can get fit, make friends and connect with community. Support us to make sport accessible to all.

Story

This Christmas give the gift of sport to a disabled child 🎅

It’s a gift that will last a lifetime – and unlike a shiny new toy it won’t broken by Boxing Day.

Disabled children are left out of sport through no fault of their own.

That’s why Disability Sports Coach (DSC) runs inclusive community sports clubs staffed by expert coaches, so that everyone gets to play.

Just 1 in 4 disabled pupils take part in school sport, which is why we train PE teachers to adapt sport and offer specialist on-site coaching.

We also run inclusive online classes for children who prefer to exercise at home.

In a world where disabled children miss out on sport and the fitness benefits, fun and friendships it brings – DSC is here.

But as a charity we rely on donations to support our work.

Can you help us unlock sport for a disabled child?

❖ It costs £20 to deliver an hour of inclusive online exercise.

❖ It costs £15 to buy an Audible Visually Impaired Football for use in our club sessions.

❖ It’s £10 to send out 2 home activity packs with instructions for sports activities and games to do at home

Every pound you give will directly benefit children and young people who are locked out of sport.

Make a difference today and give a disabled child the gift of sport.

You can donate directly via JustGiving, and you can also donate by text. Text DSC followed by your donation amount to 70085 to give that amount.

About the charity

We use the power of sport to enhance the lives of disabled people. Disabled people are twice as likely to be inactive as non-disabled people. Through our inclusive clubs, coaching sessions in schools and expert-led training, we break down barriers to sport for 5,000 disabled people each year.
