Story
Whilst we are affilliated and licenced to the National RSPCA, we DO NOT recieve daily funding from them or donations made to them. Once an animal comes into our rehabilitation centre, we are liable for the care and cost of that animal.
Without medical bills it costs on average £20 per animal, per day.
We do not receive funding for vetinary fees, treatments, diagnostics, investigations, blood tests, long term care or any associated costs.
We must find each and every single pound to care for and rehabilitate all the animals until we can find their forever home and the cost we are allowed to charge for adoptions, does not come close to the thousands of pounds of care that some animals require.
The charity also supports over 30 employees, animal centre, 10 shops, 4 vehicles and all the associated running costs. It can cost over £1m each year to ensure all the cogs turn to make sure we can care for, rehabilitate and rehome as many animals as possible. Sadly most animals only come to us as they have been abused, abandoned or mistreated. All animals are required to stay with us for a minimum of 2 weeks so we can assess them and if required treat them.
Some animals require long term care and we have many 'residents' that we are fighting hard to nurse back to health, or gain the trust of humans again. Some have been with us for over a year. We never give up and never put animals to sleep unless absolutely required (no quality of life or terminal illness) and the last resort, we will keep fighting for every furry... we just need your support to help us make this happen.
