As an organization with more than a century of experience in caring for our community, the Valley of the Sun YMCA responds quickly to these challenges; creatively expanding our programs to meet our community when, where and how we are needed most.

Thanks to the generous support of our donors, we can continue to ensure the health, safety and well-being of every YMCA child and family. We are working to pave the way for a bright future to all of our community no matter their age, race, gender or socioeconomic status.

ADVANCING CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT

Y programs are committed to executing experiences rich in social/emotional learning because youth do better when they have supportive adults nurturing their potential.

In 2022, the Desert Foothills Family YMCA will:

Support 175 youth in their development through after school, out of school programming and summer camp

Provide scholarships for children to have access to our programs regardless of their ability to pay

DROWNING PREVENTION

Y programs provide critical safety around water knowledge and teach swimming skills for youth and adults.

In 2022, the Desert Foothills Family YMCA will: Provide 250 youth with swim lessons free of charge

DEVELOPING COMMUNITY LEADERS

Y programs provide experiences that build a sense of belonging and welcome young people to develop their self-identity.

In 2022, the Desert Foothills Family YMCA will: Serve over 100 youth through participation in Youth and Government, Teen Leaders, Employee U and Camp Sky-Y

PROMOTING HEALTHY LIVING

Y membership and wellness programs can improve the health and well-being of our community to reduce chronic disease, obesity, and improve mental health.

In 2022, the Desert Foothills Family YMCA will:

Serve 1,200 seniors in our community

Serve 100 military families in our community

Provide 32 community members with access to our LIVESTRONG program
