Hello, from the UNCSA United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) 2024 Interest Group! This interest group is a student-led initiative comprised of students from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA). This year, we’ll be attending the USITT annual conference in Seattle, Washington where we’ll network, gain industry knowledge and experience, as well as make connections for future job or graduate school opportunities. To get there, we need your help!

The United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) is an annual conference that “connects performing arts design and technology communities to ensure a vibrant dialogue among practitioners, educators, and students.” At the conference, there will be an expo floor where companies and schools have booths that we can visit to learn more about them. Additionally, there are exhibitions where students and professionals showcase their work. While there, we’ll also attend workshops and panels which will provide us with opportunities to network with professionals and make industry connections critical to our success after graduation.

Every gift will support student travel to attend the USITT conference, including room and board, conference fees, airfare, etc. Any funding that remains after our trip will be donated to the next group of students attending USITT.
