The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileThe Decca Bursary aims to inspire and encourage a new generation of classical musicians and composers. Its mission is to help children afford a classical music education regardless of their financial background. The Bursary has so far changed the lives of children across the UK, providing necessary grants for instruments, tuition and courses. Current events have, for some, meant further challenges to being able to afford or access classical music teaching. It feels more important than ever that arts and music education is supported, to ensure future generations benefit from all that learning an instrument can bring.
Throughout November, an intrepid team from Decca will attempt to cover the equivalent distance of Lands End to John OGroats. Thats 603 miles, as the crow flies! Come rain or shine, each member taking part will contribute to covering the distance, all while staying safely apart.
All monies donated will be used for the Decca Bursary, a restricted fund of Universal Music UK Sound Foundation, a charity registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales (1104027). Registered as a company limited by guarantee (5063290) in England and Wales.
