Story
Four generations of Squires have represented Delone Catholic High School on the gridiron, joining a brotherhood which has authored a compelling story of successes and stumbles, comebacks, disappointments, and championships. Most importantly, these young men have created unforgettable memories, learned valuable life lessons, and forged life-long bonds. There is great pride in putting on the black and gold jerseys to represent the same program that, in many cases, multiple generations of your family have also represented.
While the ideals and goals stand the test of time, the uniforms themselves wear out. The current Squires find themselves in this situation. After a decade of blocks, tackles, touchdowns, and the cliched blood, sweat, and tears, our uniforms need to be replaced. For a program with as many members as a football team, this is a sizeable financial investment. We are asking members of the Squires' brotherhood, their families, and fans to provide whatever support you are able to ensure that the Squires of the 2020s can add their chapters to the story. Any funds raised in excess of what is needed to purchase the uniforms will be used for their care and upkeep to make sure the Squires look good for years to come.
To me, Delone Catholic means family. As a graduating senior, while I won't be able to enjoy and take pride in wearing a new uniform, it is just as special to be a part of the legacy that helped the football team raise enough money to show up to the games in style. As a family member, I will always take care of and look out for my past, present, and future brothers. - Justin Emeigh '22
