Story

Hi! I will be doing the JOGLE cycle ride which stands for John O'Groats to Lands End, from 7th to 29th June.

It's 1026 miles so I am looking to raise £1026 for BDCPS!

Most people do LEJOG but I'm doing JOGLE as it's downhill all the way!

I will be averaging 45 miles every day for 23 days, going through 293 different places including Inverness, Aviemore, crossing the Forth Bridge , Carlisle, Penrith, Preston, Worcester, Gloucester, Bristol, Taunton, Okehampton, Fowey and Penzance!

I have always wanted to cycle this route and having left BT after almost 39 years of continuous employment, I now have the freedom to plan, train and actually cycle the route over a reasonable timescale, at a pace I can enjoy the countryside and not have to rush! Which is good at my age!

I will be doing the trip with my friend Steve Hobbis who is cycling for another charity (so competition to raise most is on!!)

I chose BDCPS as my charity, because my close friends, The Circuits have a son, Jamie, who has disabilities and epilepsy, and I have seen at close hand the support and kindness that BDCPS have given to the whole family.

BDCPS are a local charity and I know how hard the team have to work to raise funds to ensure they can continue to give their wonderful help to many families who have children with disabilities, many life limiting.
