Story
The Duchenne Dash AT HOME is a virtual challenge that takes place in the run up to the Duchenne Dash - our annual fundraising bike ride from London to Paris.
We are asking you to complete 300kms of activities from 5 April - 17 May, any way you want, to raise vital funds for Duchenne UK.
By the end of the challenge you will have covered the distance from London to Paris. Looking for an extra challenge? Why not add on the return journey and attempt to complete 600kms in six weeks?
Everyone can take part, so get your kids, parents, colleagues and friends to join you! Share your Strava or fitness stats showing your 300kms and we will send you a limited edition Duchenne Dash 2024 medal!
Set up your fundraising page today and join us in our mission to end Duchenne.
This is why……………
Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is a disease that causes muscle weakness and wasting for which there is no cure.
Founded and run by two mothers whose sons have DMD, Duchenne UK is doing vital and innovative work in helping DMD patients and their families.
An example of the vital work the Dash AT HOME funds is research to treat cardiomyopathy, a heart condition associated with DMD which involves cardiac fibrosis, arrhythmias, and heart failure.
Thanks to the Dashers, Duchenne UK is funding research to identify markers of cardiac fibrosis in the blood which will allow for better diagnosis and management of it.
Please support our Dashers AT HOME who are cycling 300kms in 6 weeks to support our work.
