Story

Grab your trainers and get walking and talking! Our wonderful Speak With A Picture team of Ann Marie Lyons-Mummery and Cheryl Kearney are going to Dare to be Different by taking up the challenge a sponsored walk to raise money for our wonderful charity during Autism Acceptance Week.

Autism can often be mis-understood and can also be overlooked. Now is our chance to promote acceptance of Autism and spread some positive awareness. We are walking on Wednesday 29th March 2022 from our Autism Hub in Romford's Liberty Shopping Centre to our headquarters in Dagenham for a quick coffee break before doing the return journey. The walk starts at 10.00 am and we should be back in Romford at around 2pm. It's around a ten mile journey there and back, so it's a challenging distance, but we're hoping that four hours is about right.

It's all part of our efforts for Autism Acceptance Week, which starts on Monday 27th March, and we'll be building up to our Dare to be Different day on Friday 31st March. We would love for as many as people to join us, catching up with old friends and making some new ones along the way. We're hoping to raise funds for the Sycamore Trust and highlight that we are all different in our own unique way and thats OK.

We know that times are tough, so any donation, however big or small, is very welcome. Thank you for everyone who has helped us!
