Story
The partnership will focus on making more possible for thousands of vulnerable and socially deprived young people in Northern Ireland, who are supported by Extern NI each year.
Social deprivation is a very real and alarming issue in Northern Ireland, with as many as one in four children living in poverty. In addition in 2018/2019, there were 3,281 children living in care.
Money raised will support two projects - the development of much-needed sensory spaces at Extern NI's Kinnahalla Respite Centre in the Mourne Mountains, helping to create a calm and welcoming environment for the charity's life-changing social care interventions, and the delivery of Keeping Me Safe, a programme promoting wellbeing, awareness and financial security while online.
These projects will provide new opportunities and help create a brighter future for vulnerable children and young people.
