Story

I am doing this as an opportunity to raise funds for Alpha-1 patients and research for a cure or indefinite treatment with a high survival rate.

Also, to encourage those diagnosed with it to exercise and that they can.rather than being focused on the fact that they have a terminal condition. I know about this all too well as I had Lyme disease from 2002-2006 or so. I was terribly ill and constantly focused on it.

Thirdly, to raise awareness so that others can be tested and cease unhealthy activities such as smoking. I am also AAT deficient as an SZ but asymptomatic. Losing weight as I am should help as my body will have more resources available along with a more flexible and stronger heart and cleaner arteries. Other alphas can employ this strategy.
