63% of the prison population have been excluded from school, which shows just how drastically a school exclusion can affect a young persons life. Not only is this devastating for the young person, but this is also has a large societal cost of £370,000 per excluded young person over a lifetime. This is a huge price to pay for not looking after our young people properly. This is why Lawrence Dallaglios charity, Dallaglio RugbyWorks, strives to change the lives of these young people, disengaged from education, by teaching them key life skills to help them build more positive and productive futures for themselves.

Dallaglio Cycle Slam 2024 sees approximately 100 riders take on a physically demanding cycling challenge through the hills and mountains of Italy to raise money for these young people. The gruelling climbs along the way are fuelled by a passion to help these young people, who often fall off the radar and are forgotten.
