Story
Daisy was turned away from one veterinary clinic when her owner wanted to have her put to sleep, then shortly after handed into another vets nearby after being "found abandoned and tied to a tree”.
luckily we were contacted asking to take her in as It was clear to see, at first glance that Daisy needed veterinary treatment as she had a mammary mass the size of a tennis ball and it was ulcerated. On closer inspection it also turned out that Daisy had a bad urinary infection and large bladder stones that needed removing.
Daisy’s first surgery included a cystotomy to remove her bladder stones and the large mammary mass.
We soon learned the sad news that the test results for Daisy’s mammary mass came back malignant, and our vets at Earls Hall advised to get a mammary strip done to try to remove all cancerous tissue. So the whole row of nipples on one side needing to be removed, on top of this needed to be spayed to help lower the risk of cancer in the future.
Throughout this ordeal Daisy has been a great patient and much loved in her foster home and by everyone she meets. She never stops smiling and wagging her tail.
We are currently waiting for the test results that were removed at the second surgery so we are keeping our fingers crossed while Daisy rests and recovers.
Daisy’s vet bill for currently stands at £3,039.79 and we are still waiting for the bill from her lates surgery that will likely be over £1,000.00 we know times are though , but we appreciate anything you can give even if its only a share so our appeal will reach more people.
