Support Cystic Fibrosis Ireland in 2020 as part of the Charities Together initiative, bringing Irish charities together so we can help them through 2020.
Charities Together is about bringing together Irish charities so we can support them as one. We have started the #20in2020challenge where people can either donate 20 to a charity of their choice or they can take on a 20 themed challenge to fundraise for a charity to help them through 2020
As a result of the covid-19 pandemic, millions of euro in funding has been lost by Irish charities as thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled. Many of these charities have had to reduce or stop their services at a time when their services are needed the most. Cystic Fibrosis Ireland is one of them
Cystic Fibrosis Ireland was set up by parents to improve the treatment & facilities for people with CF in Ireland. Our aim is to fund CF hospital units throughout Ireland, provide grants for people with CF, advocate for & provide advice & information for people with CF & their families, fund research into Cystic Fibrosis.
Their fundraising events have been cancelled or postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic at a time when people with Cystic Fibrosis who are an at risk group from this virus require their support now more than ever.
They urgently require funding to continue to provide much needed supports and services to people with Cystic Fibrosis and their families. This includes specific supports they have put in place to support the CF community during the current crisis as well as their on-going services including;
Advice, information and support for people with Cystic Fibrosis in Ireland
Support for counselling, exercise, bereavement, social & distress, transplant and fertility grants.
Ongoing support for CF units in our hospitals including funds being raised for the new CF unit at the Beaumont Hospital and funding for CF specialist staff as needs arise.
