Story
As the world struggles with COVID-19, villages across Fiji have been impacted even further by the damaging effects of Cyclone Harold, which struck our beloved Fiji on 9th April.
Over 780 homes have been damaged or destroyed alongside schools and community buildings and almost 2000 people are currently living in evacuation centres. Worst impacted areas include Kadavu, which holds such a special place in many of our hearts, with so many TP teams being welcomed like family in recent years.
Following Cyclone Winston in 2016, and with support of our phenomenal community across the globe, TP was able to help so many families, from rebuilding community centres and kindergarten schools to providing the tools for families to re-plant and regain their livelihoods.
Were ready to offer any help we can again. Weve been in discussion with our community partners to help Fijis National Disaster Management Office and raise funds to support rural communities most in need.
We understand this is such a challenging time for everyone right now, but if you feel you may be able to assist, even with a small donation, this shall support families who are not only facing COVID-19, but have now lost their homes and community infrastructure in these unprecedented times.
Thank you for your kindness. Together, well stand side-by-side with our amazing Fijian friends and families across the islands. With the unique positivity and resilience of Fijians, we know that as always, this incredible country shall push through to brighter days again.
