Story
With the aim of raising money for the school, our cyclists have been undeterred by inclement weather, training on the weekends despite rain, flood and muck. They will set off on Friday, 19 May, to Gloucester through the Chilterns and Cotswolds on an undulating course almost 180 kilometres long - a demanding warm up to the second day!
They continue riding the next day through the Wye Valley and taking in some hills in Bannau Brycheiniog, the legendary Brecon Beacons. The total distance to Swansea will cover 150 kilometres and over 2,000 meters of elevation gain, as tough as it gets!
Our cyclists will return to a heroes' welcome on the School May Fair on Sunday, 21 May. All funds raised at the fair will contribute towards an exciting new project, to create a food and technology room in school. We are aiming to raise enough money to convert one of our existing classrooms into a designated space for whole class cookery and Design and Technology lessons. This will be a fantastic addition to our school and benefit allourpupils. Please help us reach our target by donating whatever you can.
We would also like to publicly thank Coolmath Games for their sponsorship of the team and their generous donation to our fundraising efforts. Coolmath Games is a brilliant brain-training site for everyone, where logic and thinking and maths meets fun and games! Check out Coolmath Games at www.coolmathgames.com/
Thank you.
