Story
I’m Alice, at 24 years old I came head to head with a fight against breast cancer, not something I ever thought id be saying at such a young age but here we are. I could’ve taken this as an excuse to sit on the sofa all day everyday and let it beat me, but thankfully fight mode activated straight away and I have spent the last year and a half giving this fight everything I have to beat it.
I have also chosen to use my situation to raise great awareness & fundraise some vital funds to help ensure leading cancer research can continue to take place making the fight against cancer more achievable for those who face it in the future.
At the start of this journey I chose to fundraise for Hope against cancer because they strive to work for everything and more than I wish to achieve, they have put Leicestershire on the map for leading cancer research, they have funded clinical trials that have made a huge amount of difference to someone’s end results in the fight. I am a huge advocate of supporting local charities, there are some amazing huge cancer research charities out there but do we know that every penny is used productively? Well with a small charity like Hope, we do, we know that not a penny is wasted but they need people like you, like me, to fundraise, raise awareness and that is exactly what this big ride is going to do!
