Story

In February 2020, a team of 33 UK Convenience and Wholesale retail sector colleagues will take on the challenge of cycling over 500km through Cambodia in six days. It's a tough route and it won't be easy - the team will be facing extreme heat and challenging terrain. This is why we need your support! Money raised will help MAG (Mines Advisory Group) to achieve its vision of a world free from the threat of landmines and unexploded bombs.

Every day, 19 people are reported killed or injured by a landmine or unexploded bomb. Many more deaths go unreported. Right now, 60 million of women, girls, boys and men are living in fear of death and injury from these indiscriminate killers.

MAG finds, removes and destroys these deadly items from places affected by conflict. It also provides mine risk education programmes so that people can live, work, travel and play as safely as possible until the land is cleared.

By sponsoring the team today, you are helping MAG to save lives and build futures in countries from Angola to Vietnam, and Bosnia to Zimbabwe.

Please donate generously to give the team a boost and help us smash the team target!

About the charity

Every single day, 13 people are killed or injured because of landmines and other explosive weapons. Half of all civilian casualties are children. MAG finds and destroys these weapons to save lives and rebuild futures; helping people to grow crops, attend school and build homes.
