Story
Sure 24 and Rain Edge High School are located in Nakuru, Kenya. They look after and educate children from primary school up until graduation from university without any cost to their families. They also have an orphanage for children whose very early life was spent living on Nakuru's rubbish dump.
As numbers in the orphanage and the school grow, it is essential for this amazing charity to obtain food security. They have recently expanded their farm (when we were there in February 2018 we helped build the cow shed ) and a new 50 acre small holding has been added and planted up. The problem is they need £700 to finish irrigating the crops by installing pipes and sprinklers. But they need the money by the end of June 2020.
A group of boys from Reading School are cycling the distance between Rain Edge High School and Reading School by the end of the month; which is 6840km. Any contribution you can make to our efforts would be great and would bring food to the mouths of many needy children.
Please have a look at the video on Rain Edge's web site at rainedge.net and you will see lots to inspire you. You can check how far we have cycled by looking at our Strava Group which is called Ride to Kenya.
