Story

Local business leaders and Members of Parliament joined Cumberland Council, Cumbria Youth Alliance, and Inspira for a night of glamour to raise money for the newly created Enrichment Fund, which is dedicated to supporting cared-for and care-experienced young people in Cumberland. Currently, the Enrichment Fund stands at £54,000, which will give young people opportunities to do things they may otherwise be unable to without the support of a family network, such as paying for driving lessons so they can reach their workplace or study.

This black-tie event featured speeches from Josh MacAlister, MP for Workington and Whitehaven, Eirini Etoimou from Sellafield and Becky Wolstenholme, CEO of Cumbria Youth Alliance, who all spoke about their commitment to cared-for and care-experienced young people.
