Story
Over the past 20 years, communities & campuses have been coming together from across the world, promoting the vision of unity and undertaking a week of united fundraising for orphans and children in need.
Why do we believe so deeply about unity? Because the range of problems and difficulties faced by us all across the world are so many, so varied, so complex - that the only way that we will stand any chance of overcoming them is if we work together.
This year, Charity Week has pledged to donate over $1million that is raised to the people of Palestine. In addition to this, we also aim to support emergency aid and water projects in Sudan, Bangladesh and Lebanon which is currently suffering from ongoing war and the world's largest humanitarian crises.
Children globally are also living in refugee camps, traumatised by war or simply unable to go to school in their local community due to crippling poverty, these children lack the means to keep safe at home, access critical education and medical and/or psychosocial care. Their futures look unsafe, uncertain and bleak.
As part of our fundraising efforts, we have decided not to choose between which children should be helped more and instead, by raising funds as a collective community of Charity Week-ers globally, we choose them all.
Under our theme of social justice we will strive for unity and a strong empowered community. Alone, we can not change injustice - but United We Can!
