Organised by University College London Hospitals Charity UKThe Cure CJD campaign has been set up by a group of individuals, personally affected by the disease, to support the work of researchers & doctors at the MRC Prion Unit at UCL and NHS National Prion Clinic at UCLH. We are a fund within UCLH Charity.
Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD) is a fatal brain condition with about 130 new cases in the UK every year. There is currently no cure but every day scientists and doctors are getting closer to finding a treatment. The Cure CJD Campaign aims to raise funds to support the use of an antibody drug developed for the treatment of patients with CJD. The first patient was treated at UCLH in October 2018.
