Story
Cuan Mhuire Newry is celebrating 40 years in 2024!
It was founded by Sr. Consilio on June 29th 1984. It was replaced by a purpose built centre on the Old Dublin Road in 2012. Since its foundation many thousands of persons from across the North of Ireland have availed of its treatment and rehabilitation services.
It has a bed capacity of 92 and in 2023 it had 421 admissions, both male and female. Not only does it offer a Addiction Program, but it supported 2,996 Aftercare Attendees at its various sites across the province.
We need constant financial support to ensure we can sustain and develop our 5 Treatment Centres, 7 Transition Houses and 18 Aftercare Meeting Locations.
"When I was 18 I attempted suicide. I hid away from everyone as I didn't trust myself. Cuan Mhuire taught me about self-care, self-discipline as well as giving me strength, courage, unconditional love and Hope".
Hope is the kindness others can give. Thank you.
