Story
On 02 July 2022, one of our soldiers was involved in a serious speed flying accident. LCpl Lee Crudgington, who joined 2 PARA in 2005, was speed flying in France when he crashed and was left very seriously injured.
Lee, who is an experienced skydiver having spent 10 years on the Red Devils Army Parachute Display Team, racking up over 5,000 jumps, has been in intensive care in French hospitals since the accident. He needs a 12-hour surgery to stabilise his pelvis, followed by a period of monitoring before he will even be considered fit to transport back to the UK.
Lee is one of our own and family take care of each other we have been supporting him and his family in France, but now we need your help. On top of mounting foreign medical costs, Lee will need a specialist aeromedical team to fly him back to the UK, where he will undergo further surgery and start a long period of rehabilitation.
SUPPORT OUR PARAS are committed to supporting Lee with his medical costs and repatriation, but would welcome any contributions towards the total. You can help further by adding Gift Aid to your donation.
