Story

JOIN TEAM MANTA and help us CROSS THE OCEANS in June 2024!

For the 4th year running we want you to join us to 'Cross the Oceans' virtually to raise money for our charity's conservation work, and we want you to JOIN US on our epic challenge.

This year we plan to travel between 2 of our affiliate projects: from the Peru Mobulid Project in South America, to the Pacific Manta Research Group, who focus on the conservation of manta rays in the Eastern Pacific including the Revillagigedo Archipelago in Mexico, where some of the friendliest oceanic manta rays in the world can be seen.

Whether it's running, cycling, kayaking or swimming - every mile you do will help us raise money to fund:

- Research in manta populations worldwide and work with governments to implement protected areas.

- Workshops with local fisheries and governments to enforce conservation measures already in place.

- Education in communities and schools about manta and devil rays.

- Promotion of manta ray protection at important national summits and conferences.

Our work in the last 13 years has helped make significant changes to legislation and protection of manta & devil rays, will you join us so we can continue to do more?

Sink or swim, so the saying goes. As a charity, we would not survive without the amazing support of our followers. Your actions and generosity give us the strength we need to keep on swimming. So, to all those who are prepared to swim, cycle or run the extra mile for us in this challenge, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
