Story
The Cave Rescue Organisation (CRO) provides the Cave, Mountain and Animal Rescue Service in the 3 Peaks and Malham area of the Yorkshire Dales.
The organisation is a charity and the team is made up entirely of volunteers, who give up their time, freely and willingly, for rescues and training in order to provide the rescue cover. In order to run this service, the team have to raise all their own funds and one of the main money raising events is the CRO Ingleborough Challenge 2019.
This event will take place on the 18th May 2019 and there will be limited numbers for this event, so please book your place early. There are 2 challenges that you can register for:
The Ingleborough Marathon you can run it or walk it - 26 miles
The Clapham Circuit again you can walk it or run it - 12 miles
Both of these routes start and finish at Clapham in North Yorkshire and will take you along footpaths and tracks seldom used, yet they take in some of the most attractive areas of the Ribble Valley. Everyone will receive a medal and a certificate with their time that it took them complete the event. We are asking each participant to raise either by sponsorship or a personal donation:
a. At least £25 per person for the Ingleborough Marathon or
b. At least £15 per person for the Clapham Circuit
