Story

The Great North Run is the world's largest half marathon with over 57,000 runners!

The run starts in Newcastle and finishes on the coast at South Shields. There will be thousands of cheering supporters to keep you motivated every step of the way and we will be there at the end to greet you in the Charity Village.

This isn't just a physical and mental challenge for the Crohn's & Colitits UK team, it is also one of hope, heart and courage as they take on the half marathon to raise awareness and give all those affected by Crohn's and Colitis confidence and comfort to live freer, fuller lives.

Every single penny from the 2022 Great North Run enables vital research, support and awareness of the conditions, making a difference to the estimated 500,000 people living in the UK with these lifelong conditions.
