Story

Crib n Carol 2020

Covid19?

Nothing can stop the epic Crib And Carol Christmas Eve event from happening at Tanworth! And this year, through a mammoth effort by the whole team, we are pleased to bring you a recorded version with all the usual suspects including the River band and the Uplifted Puppet Team, along with our dedicated narrators and budding filmakers! We would usually welcome 600+ folk through the doors over two sittings on Christmas Eve, but maybe we can welcome even more folk, from even further away!

As usual we will be fundraising, with our offering split evenly between our two chosen charities, and here they are for this year....

Rennie Grove Hospice Care

We believe that everyone with a life-limiting illness should be able to live well for as long as possible and have the choice to die at home. We will put you and your family at the heart of our specialist care, visiting day and night, supporting you to live the best quality life you can and to make every moment together matter. Our vision is that every adult and child with life-limiting illness can choose how they want to be cared for knowing they will receive exceptional specialist palliative care.

Beyond The Horizon

Beyond the Horizon Charity [BTHC] helps children, young people and families who have been affected by loss, bereavement, divorce or separation; working through their challenges to achieve hope for a healthy future and emotional wellbeing. Our professionally trained counsellors help children to come to terms with their loss, giving them the tools to cope with changes in their lives. [The] Charity has been working in Birmingham since 2003.... Based in Billesley, Birmingham, we work across the city at locations local to you.

Last year we were able to send about £500 to EACH charity, and it is our hope that this year we can exceed that generosity. Please note that although the money is being taken in by the church here on our fundraising page that 100% of all donations received from this event will go to the charities and none of it will be allocated to the church.
