Story

Do you want to save a life or help to change someone's future?

Calcutta Rescue provides free healthcare, education, vocational training and sanitation so that families and whole communities living in the slums in Kolkata, India can improve their health and living conditions and have a chance to lift themselves out of poverty.

Kavi's Walk is 18.5km along the Thames Path in London, from Mortlake to Vauxhall on Sunday, 8 September 2024. It is an annual fundraising event celebrating the life of one of the charity's young supporters, Kavi Varsani, who died of covid-19 in 2020.

All the money raised will go to fund Calcutta Rescue's core programmes helping thousands of people living in poverty in Kolkata.

About the charity
