Tau Phi Alumni,

The men of Tau Phi social club at Lipscomb University are excited to announce the 45th production of The Cowboy Show will be held on the evening of September 13th, 2024 in Collins Alumni Auditorium. Student auditions for the female-lead songs in the show have been completed and together with the talented men of Tau Phi (and “The Golden Boys”), this is sure to be one of the best Cowboy Shows in recent years!

In addition, the club will be starting a new tradition at Cowboy Show by honoring individual club alums who have represented the values of Tau Phi through their professional and personal achievements, as well as service and contributions to Lipscomb. This year Tau Phi will honor its first two recipients of the award: Dr. Jon Lowrance (‘77), Department Chair – Biology at Lipscomb and Mr. Jeff Dale (‘88), former Chief of Campus Security at Lipscomb.

Lastly, the men of Tau Phi continue their philanthropy work, partnering with the Veteran Services Office on Lipscomb’s campus. Last year the club presented a check for $1,000 to the Veteran Services Office that directly supported the financial needs of Lipscomb veteran students. This gift was made possible through Cowboy Show ticket proceeds and the generous donations from our alumni, family and friends during last year’s Cowboy Show fundraising campaign.

This summer we’re reaching out because we need YOUR support to make this year’s Cowboy Show happen!

Some of the financial resources that Tau Phi had depended on in years past are no longer as available as they once were. We expect to receive some financial support from those on-campus resources, but it will not be enough to cover the full production budget of putting on the show. This year our goal is to raise $4,000 through the support of our Tau Phi alumni, family and friends.

Additionally, the Office of Alumni & Parent Engagement is hosting a pre-show dinner for alums & families. Tickets for the show & dinner will be available in August.
