Introductory statement

This JustGiving page is dedicated to all the healthcare frontline heroes in UK who worked selflessly caring for patients with COVID19 and have unfortunately passed away. Those brave frontline NHS, care or residential home healthcare workers who worked in adverse conditions will always remain in our thoughts and prayers as COVID HEROES.

It remains our strong belief that we show our solidarity and support to the next of kin or families of these Heroes and donations to this page will go towards financially supporting them. As of 29/05/2020 the campaign has disbursed funds to two COVID HERO families, who remain grateful to the generosity of all the supporters of this campaign. We also have been made aware by these families that the proposed UK government grant process has started. As the pandemic subsides and government pledged grants materialise, we believe our objective has been met. We have decided to stop this campaign on 31/05/2020. We remain ever so grateful to the kindness of supporters, without whom this campaign would not have been successful.

BPC stands for Bristol Puja Committee. For us the word puja signifies reverence or service to humanity. This registered charity (No. 1181397) was established in 2018. This charity welcomes everybody and there are no pre-requisites or conditions in attending any of its events. The motto of our charity is:

1) Service to mankind based on universal values of love and friendship irrespective of ones race, religion, beliefs or nationality

2) Helping individuals in UK during calamities by offering financial grants
