The COVID-19 pandemic has caused hardship around the world. In Gituamaba, Kenya, it has left many without access to the most basic necessities. Unable to work, those who live hand-to-mouth are unable to buy food or pay rent. The situation is desperate.

About Uzimatele

Uzimatele means life to the full. We want to enable disadvantaged people in Nairobi. To do this, we run a local primary school and a home for orphaned children, we provide secondary education scholarships, run a local church, and enable widows to pursue further education and career development. We are defined by the people we serve rather than the projects we run.

We believe in Learning and Development through trustful relationships and work to provide fair education opportunities worldwide. We offer mentorships for under-privilegded children in Berlin, partner with schools, family homes and shelters in Kenya and Georgia. Our partnership with the Uzimatele Initiative lasts more than 10 years already. We want to offer support that makes sense to the communities in the given situation.
