Story
St Andrew's First Aid was established in 1882 and has been saving lives and helping people all over Scotland ever since. We were there through both world wars, football disasters and more recently, the bin lorry incident in Glasgow. Our teams work and volunteer in communities across the country to help create a nation of life- savers by teaching first aid skills to community groups and schools.
We are appealing for your support to help keep St Andrew's First Aid, a Scottish institution, going through these tough times.
As a charity we receive no statutory funding from the Scottish Government. You will be all too well aware of the financial challenges posed by the prospect of a 12 week near shutdown for many businesses and charities, and our charity is no exception.
St Andrew's First Aid has always been there to help communities and we are poised to respond to the pandemic emergency. We are currently in talks with Scottish Government and the NHS while structures are put in place. The pandemic is unprecedented and while we are ready to step in, we know this will be a marathon, not a sprint.
When the time comes and we are called upon to support, it will be your donations that will help our 1,000 strong first aid volunteer force to respond in a safe and effective manner, fully equipped and trained to the highest standard, to keep you and your loved ones safe. Our tenacity, reliability and resilience has stood the test of time, for well over a century. Your kindness and generosity will keep us doing so for another century to come.
Donate today and support St Andrew's First Aid and our volunteers in your community.
