Join the fight against Parkinson's Disease
At the University of Sheffield, our team of Parkinsons researchers are world-leading experts in the field. Our methods have enabled a unique clinical trial to take place, testing a drug which has been used to treat liver disease. This drug has the potential to repair damaged cells in Parkinsons patients, which could slow disease progression. Our researchers are confident a breakthrough is round the corner. With your help, Sheffield could contribute to unlocking a cure for Parkinsons Disease.
Two more people are diagnosed every hour, thats 18,000 people every year, currently affecting 145,000 people in the UK alone in 2020. New treatments are needed to stop Parkinson's in its tracks, and your fundraising can make a difference.
