Story
Nothing helps build community better than food. Corrymeela is partnering with the Eden Project in support of The Big Lunch annual get together, bringing people together in their communities to share friendship, food and fun this June.
Corrymeela Community member Joanne Boal says The Big Lunch has made a massive difference to her neighbourhood and is now just one of the many things they do together since forming Rainbow Alley and they are now growing together all year round.
Corrymeela creates safe environments for people to experience and form positive relationships, exploring new ways of expression and being at ease with difference.
Everyone is welcome, whatever their background, ethnicity, faith, gender, or nationality.
By hosting a Big Lunch at work, with family, neighbours or friends, you can help people from our most challenging communities find a sense of belonging.
Every £ makes a difference!
£10.00 raised could bring four people together for coffee and a chat.
£50.00 raised could bring two community leaders together for a day.
£185.00 could pay for an action-packed programme for kids who don’t usually meet one another.
£250.00 would allow a community group of ten young people to come together in conversation.
We believe that together is better—50 big or little lunch events that raise £100 each would reach our combined target of £5000. We couldn’t do this transformational work without you!
